Henry Kortekaas & Associates developed an economical solution to erosion control using on site materials normally discarded as garbage. A set of detail drawings outlining the means for erosion control and stabilization in the Lynde Creek Valley was prepared for the Gates of Whitby subdivision. various stabilization methods using brush layers, live crib walls, and live stakes were used. Part of this work has been in place for over 15 years and although flexible, the design and construction is firm. There were five severe points of erosion in this project.
